Happy Veteran's Day

Let me start by saying that I am not sure why we say "Happy" Veterans Day.....it doesn't really fit the occasion but I guess the point gets across.

I do want to take time and say thanks....thanks to all those whom have served this great country of ours, thanks to all those whom are still serving our country proud.

If it weren't for these individuals think of all the things we do on a daily basis that we otherwise would be able to do.

Today also makes me think about my best friend and her husband. He is serving in the Marine Corps and they have been stationed in Japan for almost 3 years now. He just left this week on his second deployment in less than a year and a half. I pray daily for his safety. I pray daily for her sanity. I cannot imagine living on the opposite side of the world from my family and closets friends....basically her support system....and going through another deployment with their two kids. She's a hero in my mind.

So my friends as you are out and about today taking advantage of all the sales and offers that go along with Veteran's Day and 11-11-11.....please take a moment and recognize those that have made and are still making these days we enjoy possible. Pray for them and their loved ones.

Welcome

Welcome to These Are The Days.

My name is Ann, and I will be your blog hostess.

I am not new to the blogging world but I have been MIA for a bit. I had another blog and met a lot of wonderful people but I got to where I just didn't have the time to post to it, then when I would find time, I just didn't want to post to it. I think maybe I outgrew my other blog....maybe. Plus my other blog got to be more of a mommy blog and I really want somewhere that I can write about more than just my life as a mommy and wife....those are just two aspects of my life...I want to feel free to write about more.....so all this brings us to......These Are The Days.

I chose this name because....well....these are the days....the days of our lives (as we've all heard...lol), the days we are going to miss....the days we are gonna want to remember.

So now for the introduction....

As I said before, my name is Ann and I am a mom to four and a wife to one. I work full time outside the home, go to school {almost} full time. My name will be the only real name I use in this blog....I will be changing the names of others I write about in order to protect the innocent {hee hee}. I am a country girl.....born and bred on a farm.....some would call me a redneck but I tend to disagree....although I can break out the redneck in me when need be. =) I have a Southern accent and conservative views but do NOT take that to mean that I am stupid or ignorant because I am neither but I will say "Bless your heart" when the situation calls for it. I look forward to sharing what stays in my brain on this blog and if you feel like following, great....if you want to leave a comment, even better!

Thanks for stopping by!
